ICE Conference - No Teacher Left Behind!

Last Thursday and Friday, our district's iPad pilot teachers were given the opportunity to attend the Indiana Computer Educators conference in Indianapolis. We had a wonderful time listening and observing masters in using technology to reach our digital native students.
Two of the many presenters that I was able to attend were Michael Gorman and Leslie Fisher. Check out their contributions to the online learning world!

I am glad you had fun. I wish we had a chance after conferences like these to really debrief and share resources. I haven't even had time to look at my thumb drive yet!

What a wonderful opportunity. The department heads at my school all received iPads last year yet we have not had the opportunity to get together and share ways we can use the iPad in the classroom.

Adrienne, some of the best days I've spent have been with other teachers, just sharing...we really are our own best resources! The last time we did this (and we are going to do it again at the high school), I worked with 2 math teachers and a science teacher...and man, did I learn a lot!

That conference must have been pretty neat. I have never been to a computer conference myself but have been thinking about attending one.

Wow! The title of the post really caught my attention! The idea that teachers would no longer be a side thought for successful educational practices is a glorious idea! I think being among a professional community is a great way to maintain and increase one's professional motivation. Thanks for sharing!
